Why Cybersecurity Should Start With Everyday Users

Cybersecurity often sounds like a field reserved for specialists, but many security failures begin with everyday user behavior. A weak password, a shared login, a suspicious link, or an unmanaged device can create real risk for an organization.

That is why cybersecurity awareness should be part of every ICT training program. People need to understand access control, authentication, safe browsing, phishing, data backup, and the responsibility that comes with handling information.

In practical environments, security is not only a technical configuration. It is a culture. Users must know why policies exist, how to follow them, and who to ask when something does not look right.

When everyday users become more careful, organizations become stronger. Security should not create fear; it should create discipline, trust, and responsible digital habits.
